17-year-old Teen Left Bloodied While In Handcuffs

A teenager by the name of Ulysses Wilkerson was beaten by police. Angela Williams shared a picture last week of her son bloody face. Williams said her son was startled by police and ran away, however the Pike County District Attorney Tom Anderson said they used force after Wilkerson reached into his waistband for what they feared might be a weapon. Wilkerson was charged with resisting arrest and obstruction, both misdemeanors. There's so many questions that needs to be answered and have yet to be answered.

Wilkerson’s father, Ulysses Wilkerson Jr., said his son’s eye socket was cracked and his brain was swollen. The family is holding a rally Saturday, in part to seek justice for their son and bring attention to his case.

I have done some additional research since I couldn't find much more about this case and the only thing I know as of now is that there is body cam footage but it probably won't be released until after the investigation is over. I will keep everyone up to date.

My personal opinion about this story is what happened? I know many people will disagree with me when I say DO NOT RUN FROM THE POLICE it will only make things worst given the recent police track record for shooting unarmed African-American men in the back. You have to remain calm and don't let fear become your worst enemy. There's very little information out right now but I think everyone agrees with me when I say we need answers. All of this "reaching" stuff is starting to become a load of -- and is only starting to become an excuse to murder or severely injure African-American's.
