If you didn't watch the new episode of Black Ink Crew: Chicago, then you missed Tracy Martin getting a tattoo of his beloved son Trayvon Martin, who was tragically murdered by George Zimmerman, although he was without a doubt mistakenly acquitted.
Van started off saying that he commends both men for their role in the community, speaking out and being a voice for those who no longer have one. Tracy Martin explained that before this tragedy occurred, Trayvon has always been a beacon of light and motivation to him and he wants a piece that embodies that. It would be fitting to have Trayvon portrayed through a Sphinx-like figure because he is still a wonder in this world

Van, who did Tracy Martin's tattoo took to his Instagram page and had this to say:

You can read about the entire thing by clicking here and you can also watch a video of it. The episode also shared another father tattoo by the name of Ronald A. Hummons, a father who lost his son as well. While the tattoo scene in general was just a feel good scene it also brought back sadness for me, not sure about anyone else, but it was definitely a tearful moment as I watched both fathers get their tattoo's. However, I am glad it was something both wanted and it was something that was going to help them both with closure.
